Imon International received “sA-” social rating

Imon International has been assigned a social rating of “sA-” by MicroFinanza Rating.

In January 2022, MDO “Imon International” passed an international social rating assessment by the MicroFinanza Rating (MFR) rating agency.

According to the results of 2021, MDO “Imon International” was assigned a social rating of “sA-“. Previously, the organization passed this rating in 2019 and received a certificate. After another analysis by MicroFinanza Rating, MDO Imon International managed to maintain a high position.

The social rating “sA-” is an external, reliable and independent assessment of the institutional potential of “Imon International” for the practical implementation of its social mission and the achievement of its social goals.

As part of the social rating, the following aspects and activities of the organization were analyzed: social mission, social strategy, balance between financial and social activities, social monitoring, prevention of excessive customer debt, transparency, responsible pricing, confidentiality of customer data, social responsibility towards employees and community, environmental protection, accessibility, quality and flexibility of the services provided.

According to the MFR, MDO “Imon International” has an appropriate level of social management and client protection systems, as well as satisfactory compliance with the social mission.

CJSC MDO “Imon International” is the leading microcredit deposit organization in Tajikistan, providing financial services such as loans, deposits, money transfers, plastic cards, foreign exchange, insurance and other non-financial services to the population for more than 20 years. The organization serves more than 270,000 clients, of which 106,000 are active borrowers, and has more than 130 service offices throughout the country.

The mission of the organization is to promote economic development in Tajikistan, to help improve the quality of life of the population by providing stable access to finance.

As part of its social mission, Imon International implements a number of projects that are of a social nature: protecting the interests of clients, empowering women economically, improving the financial literacy of the population, providing non-financial services to clients, improving housing conditions for villagers, financing start-up businesses, concessional financing of talented youth, charitable and sponsorship activities.
